Ring Magazine, which is considered as the Bible of Boxing, retained Pacquiao at the top spot.
The other 9 pugilists in the list maintained their ranks as well.
As of September 12, the Sarangani Province congressman and 7-division world champion still lords over 2nd placer Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr. of the United States.
Pacquiao, the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight king, is getting ready for his November 13 bout with “Tijuana Tornado” Antonio Margarito of Mexico.
He has been conditioning himself for his rigid training which will begin on Monday.
The boxer-turned-congressman has been jogging, working out and doing several rounds with the mitts this week.
Mayweather, on the other hand, was released on bail last week following his arrest on a theft charge stemming from a domestic violence complaint filed by his former girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Mexican Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez is at No. 3, followed by Donaire at No. 4 and American “Sugar” Shane Mosley at No. 5.
Another American boxer, Paul “The Punisher” Williams, was ranked 6th while Argentine Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez was at 7th place.
The third Asian in the list, Thai Pongsaklek “Pongsaklek Sitkanongsa” Wonjongkam, remained at the 8th spot.
Mexican Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel came in at 9th while Ukrainian Wladimir “Dr. Steelhammer” Klitschko rounded up the Top 10 list.
